Strength training and sports have been an essential part of Kris Radican’s life for over 25 years. Growing up in Texas he competed in football and track & field at the highest levels into his adulthood.
After high school, Kris decided to join the US Navy where he became one of the few proud men to call themselves a Navy diver. It was there he continued his love of fitness and found CrossFit in 2004 while working as in instructor at the Navy Dive School. After ten years in the Navy, his next step was to follow his passion for fitness by attending The University of North Texas with a major in Kinesiology. After college and playing three years of semi-pro football, he began training high school, college, and professional athletes; this turned into a love of CrossFit and a natural progression into owning his gym. Four years later as an owner of his gym, he like many others found Julien’s podcast on Barbell Shrugged and was the very first coach to be invited to Torrence, California.
After a life-changing week with Julien Pineau, StrongFit creator, Kris returned to his gym and implemented everything he learned into his training. After experimenting and learning the principles, he then began introducing it into the gyms training system. Kris holds a monthly clinic on the principles of movement for his members and surrounding gyms. CrossFit ACR is located in Panama City, Fl lead by the first American certified StrongFit coach.
Kris’ vision is to educate coaches and athletes across the world better so they can improve others and their quality of life through movement.
Brittany began her coaching journey 3 years ago as a head coach and programming coordinator at a CrossFit box in Virginia, but her passion for fitness began long before that. She enjoyed 15 years of competitive soccer, and through those years of blood, sweat, tears, and strained muscles, she became interested in rehabilitation and injury prevention. She has worked as a physical therapy technician for 3 years in a variety of settings, including orthopedic and geriatric populations, and have extensive experience developing programs for general rehabilitation, balance, coordination, agility, and gait training.
She graduated college from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology, and is currently pursuing a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree at Gulf Coast State College. Because of her passion for fitness, she seeks knowledge and professional development daily. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, owns The Sweat Lab at ACR, has held her CF-L1 Certificate for nearly 2 years, and holds a CrossFit Kids Certificate. Her ultimate goal is to provide an environment where athletes of all ability levels can become the healthiest version of themselves.
Sara has been the box manager, marketing/event coordinator, logo designer and ACR's personal artist since the gym opened in February 2015. While in the gym painting and designing she found her love for CrossFit.
Sara holds a CF-L1 and has been involved in sports from a young age, including gymnastics, soccer, softball, and volleyball. She has always had a love & passion for fitness and staying active. Sara has been active in CrossFit since 2015 and StrongFit since 2016.
She has had experience with kids through volunteering at her son's school, coaching youth soccer, and assisting with the former CrossFit kid's classes offered by her home box, Crossfit ACR. Since that time Sara has worked at developing Crossfit ACR's own StrongKids programming, mentoring directly under the box's head coach, owner, and certified StrongFit coach, Kris Radican.
Together Kris & Sara's goal for StrongFit StrongKids is to have a program that is fun, dynamic, and builds well-rounded athletes from the very beginning. The StrongFit StrongKids program starts littles off on a path of building a solid foundation & good core values that will build as the athlete grows and will translate over to whatever our StrongFit StrongKid puts their minds to!
Katrina's CrossFit journey started in 2013 when a friend that she would run the Hathaway bridge with convinced her that CrossFit wasn’t just for people that are already in shape. From a young age, Katrina was always hesitant to participate in sports or physical activity due to having problems with her hips leading to having several surgeries as a child. These hip limitations seemed to be the perfect excuse to avoid CrossFit at first but after trying a few classes, she was hooked and wanted to see what she was capable of doing. Her experiences with CF and learning several scale options for her hip limitations stemmed her passion for coaching and helping people achieve their fitness goals, even when they have a physical limitation or disability. Katrina obtained her CF-L1 in January of 2017 while she was 3 months pregnant with her first child. Later that year, Katrina joined ACR and fell in love with the box and how family focused it is.
CrossFit ACR welcomes a new member to the family!
Stay tuned to hear more about coach Bri!
